The process of cleaning a room is no fun. It is a stressful and dirty process. I often find that I usually end up having to clean my room when last minute guests are coming over. Because of this, I have gotten pretty good at figuring out what’s important and how to efficiently clean a room fast.
Here are some easy to follow tips to help clean your room and keep it clean.
Everyone should own a Dirt Devil or Dust Buster. They are inexpensive, don’t take up much space and are incredibly efficient at cleaning up any pile of dust. Plus, if you get a good one, they magically know not to suck up loose change.
Another way to clean up dirt is to purchase a compact sweeper, like a Swiffer WetJet. This is a great way to keep a clean and shiny floor if you don’t have room for a mop and bucket.
If this is too much for you, then start by making your bed. It is a great habit to get into and took months of convincing from my roommate before I finally became a believer. A made bed is the foundation to any clean room and organized lifestyle.
Another important step to take is get in the habit of putting your clothes back in the drawer or closet after you wear them. If they are dirty, then obviously the laundry bin is where they should go, not the floor.
Keep your windows clean. It is an easy process if you have some window cleaner. Just spray and wipe.
Another step to take is to make sure your shoes are always together. Somehow shoes have a tendency to get away from each other, but if you keep them together, then they will take up half the space.
