@chukkoi … other than that, they just record your departure/arrival. Nothing to be afraid of. They may be strict, but it doesn’t mean they cant smile. But then some officers like the old ones, are rude. May mga bakyang ugali yung iba, pero yung mga mas bata, ok naman. Basta before you line up, see to it that your departure/arrival card has been filled up, and always bring a pen with you. Please watch my vid AIRLINE TRAVEL & AIRPORTS: Thailand Trip (Parts 1-4). It’ll be a big help to you.
@dalingable – Lining up at the immigration counter is like registering yourself to have a record that you will leave/return to the country using your passport. That’s it. The job of an immigration officer is to record that data, and screen people for potential threats like if this person will be bringing a child out of the country illegaly, or if this person leaving the country has a hold order from the court, or to block suspected terrorists…

If and when you have the opportunity to back pack in England, feel free to contact us in London. My toddler is crazy about airplanes and would love listening to your air adventures.
Your comment simply inspires me to capture more of my ventures in travel. Yes, air travel is quite an exhilirating event that it often happens fast enough for many to notice the wonders of it. I try to capture it as if every encounter is the first time.
Thank you for watching and appreciating my travel videos!
For some of us where travelling transatlantic is so common, it is very endearing to find people who cherish the experience right from the start, may it be queing for security checks, finding an airport toilet, speaking to airline crew, etc. I would just try my level best to get it over with and arrive at my destination quickly not noticing these things. You showed the beauty, sometimes frustration and excitement of it all… well done!
You know how much I enjoyed Bangkok? I’m planning my 3rd trip back there early January 2009.
I’m doing backpack travel and on a budget so I chose Pratunam area- although there’s lots of budget inns in Bangkok, i’m more comfortable there.
